Bonaparte Satirical Jug

Bonaparte Satirical Jug

A very rare satirical jug, produced at the time of the great invasion scare. Very well decorated with coloured transfers featuring 'Boney' in his new clothes with Josephine by his side. On the reverse the emperor again, hanging from a gallows above a 'BONey FIRE' lit by John Bull. Further decoration to the neck , rim and handle make this jug very special.
